The base of the system is mounted to the floor of the van, and wheel arches are a common problem when trying to optimise the load space available. Gentili's base units overcome this obstacle by being mounted over the wheel arches. The units can also be raised by inserting a purpose made riser at their bottom.

The door of these units is not opened in the conventional way, by being hinged and pulled down to the floor (creating an obstacle to the operator), but rather ours is opened upwards and supported by a gas strut which keeps the door in its open position.
